Description
Luge
Take the driving seat with the gravity-fuelled Skyline Luge, the global thrill ride for all ages
Take a thrilling ride enjoyed by all ages and abilities. Our purpose built Luge carts put you in complete control as you take on over 800 metres of banked corners, tunnels and dippers. Once you’ve conquered the course, hop on the chairlift and do it all again, and again, and again. Gentle and leisurely or steep and adventurous, you’ll be hooked. Once is never enough.
The Luge opens at 10am daily with closing times varying depending on the time of year.
Please note: adverse weather conditions may force a temporary closure during these hours.
Book Luge at any chosen time of a day and check-in at the bottom of Gondola during the open hours of the booked day but at least 1 hour before Luge closing time. Child riders who are under 110cm will need to ride in tandem with an adult (Tandem child rider ticket can be purchased on site).

Can I purchase a Gondola or Luge photo after my visit to Skyline?
Due to the number of photos taken daily we are unable to recover photos once you leave the complex. Photos must be purchased at the Luge or the base of the Gondola on the day.
Luge Safety
Our main aim is to get you having fun, but we do have rules to keep you and everyone else safe.
All Luge riders must adhere to the Luge Code of Conduct, and receive a full safety briefing from our trained Luge instructors prior to their first Luge ride. The first ride must be on the Scenic Track to demonstrate you are in control of the Luge carts and are confident to take on the excitement of the Advanced Track.
The maximum number of people on the chairlift is four per chair. Follow all instructions for boarding and disembarking the chairlift. Please be aware that the chairlift does not stop at any time. Make sure that you understand the chairlift safety guidelines demonstrated in our Chairlift Code of Conduct and speak to one of our trained Luge operators if you have any questions or doubts.
How to Luge
Our purpose-built Luge carts provide the rider with full control over their speed and direction using a unique braking and steering system.
It's really simple to use, release the handlebars slightly to accelerate and pull back on the handlebars to brake.
Our Luge instructors will give you a full briefing on how to Luge before your first ride.
